Sign up and get your workspace
Signing up gives you three things at once: a workspace on its own address, an owner account to sign in with, and a help center, a shared inbox and a chat widget waiting behind them. It takes one form and one email, and no card.
One decision on that form is worth a moment's thought — the workspace name. It becomes the address you, your team and your visitors will use, and neither the name nor the address can be changed from the console afterwards.
Fill in the form
The form is at replium.chat/signup, and it asks for three things.
| Field | What it becomes | What it has to satisfy |
|---|---|---|
| Workspace name | The name of your workspace, and the basis of its address | Not empty, at most 200 characters |
| Your email | The owner account you sign in with | A valid address |
| Password | That account's password | At least 8 characters, containing a letter and a digit |
Three details that are not obvious from looking at the form:
- The strength meter is advice; the three rules under the password field are the requirement. "Weak" refers to a password that fails one of them and will not be accepted. A letter means a letter in any alphabet, not only the Latin one, so a password written in your own script counts.
- The address preview under the name field is not a guess. It is computed by the server with the same code that assigns the address later, so what it shows is what you will get.
- Submitting the form creates nothing yet. No workspace, no account, no address is reserved. Everything happens when you open the link in the email.
How the name becomes an address
The name is transliterated into Latin letters, lower-cased, and everything that is not a letter or a digit becomes a dash. Long names are cut to 28 characters.
| Workspace name | Address |
|---|---|
| Acme | acme.replium.chat |
| Acme Corp. | acme-corp.replium.chat |
| Café Lumière | cafe-lumiere.replium.chat |
Two cases give you something you did not type:
- The address is already taken, or it is a name Replium keeps for itself. Names like
www, api, help, support, blog, billing, admin, statusandinare held back — they are hostnames and mail addresses the platform itself needs. Either way the signup is not refused: you get the same base with a short random tail,acme-qbtf.replium.chat. The preview shows it before you submit. - The name has no Latin form at all — an emoji-only name, for instance. Then the address becomes
team-plus six random characters, so two such workspaces cannot collide.
The address is fixed once the workspace exists, and there is no rename in the console. If you do need a different name or address later, write to us and we will change it by hand — but it is a great deal cheaper to read the preview before you submit.
Confirm your email
The mail arrives with the subject "Confirm your email to activate Replium" and one button. The link is good for 24 hours.
Opening it does five things in one go: allocates the address, creates the workspace, creates your owner account, signs you in, and lands you on the dashboard. There is no separate first sign-in.
- The link works once. Opening the confirmation mail a second time does not sign you in again — it takes you to your workspace's own sign-in page. That is not an error; the workspace exists, and honouring a spent link twice would turn a one-time link into a reusable password.
- If the 24 hours ran out, fill the form in again. Nothing was created, so there is nothing to clean up.
- If no mail arrives, check the spam folder, then check the address you typed — a message never reaches an address with a typo in it, and nothing on our side can tell you that it did not.
Where you sign in afterwards
Your admin console lives on your workspace's own address: https://your-workspace.replium.chat/login. There is no shared sign-in page on replium.chat — a password only works on the workspace it belongs to.
That is also why the same email address can hold accounts in several workspaces at once, each with its own password and its own role. Signing up twice with the same address gives you two separate accounts, not one account in two places.
If you arrive at replium.chat without the address, the site sends you to Find your workspace, which offers two ways out:
- type the address, if you remember the part before the dot;
- ask for a mail listing every workspace your address can sign in to. It arrives with the subject "Your Replium workspaces". The site says "check your email" whether or not the address is known to us — that answer is deliberately the same for both, so nobody can use the form to find out who has an account.
Forgot the password is on your workspace's own sign-in page. The link it mails you is good for one hour, and requesting a new one cancels the previous link. Choosing a new password also signs that account out everywhere else — every other session it had is ended.
The email address of an account cannot be changed in the console. Its display name can, on the Account page.
What exists the moment the workspace is created
| Thing | State on day one |
|---|---|
| Help center | Live at your-workspace.replium.chat/kb, and empty — it says "Nothing published yet" to visitors |
| Inbox | Empty, and reachable in the console as Conversations |
| Chat widget | Not installed yet; its settings already exist |
| Team | You, as Owner — the only member |
| Language | English |
The two steps the dashboard asks for
The dashboard shows a Get set up block with exactly two steps, and it is the shortest honest description of what a new workspace still needs:
- Write your first article. A draft does not count — a visitor cannot see it, so the step only ticks when the article is published.
- Install the widget on your site. One script tag, copied from the Widget page.
The block disappears once both are done, and it is only shown to owners and admins — both steps lead to sections an operator may not open.
Neither step is required to try the product: the inbox works before either of them, and an article can be written before the widget exists. They are simply the two things a visitor notices are missing.
